Abstract:
Indian social
system divided on the bases of class, caste, and gender. All most, all
societies have the patriarchic social system, among it, women are always denied
several rights and discriminated. She becomes the victim of social and cultural
customs. The women from the bottom of social hierarchy are suffering more than,
the women from top in social hierarchy. The Women of the Nomadic and
De-notified Tribes’ (NT-DNTs) are at the bottom of social hierarchy, who are
suffering from several rights and subject to injustice, victimization,
atrocity, discrimination etc. The condition of women of the Nomadic and
de-notified tribes is very poor and pitiable. NT-DNTs communities are poor and
socially excluded which further increases their vulnerability. These
communities are in wandering nature in search of their livelihood and they are
living with the stigma of criminality. Due to stigma and wandering nature, these
communities’ woman faces the many issues, which make them more vulnerable. This
paper tries to provide insight about the problem of NT-DNTs women, its causes’,
and its impact on women. It is covering only the violence, child marriage,
police harassment, and Jatpanchayat issues.
